Living Church programs seek to nurture the health, joy, and formation of communities and leaders in the Anglican Communion, the growth of TLC’s ministries, and the unity of all Christians. We do this through in-person events, The Living Church Podcast, our Partner Program, and our annual Student Essay Contest.
Events
Since 2017, The Living Church has hosted conferences, courses, and teaching days in the U.S., Canada, England, Rome, and the Holy Land, in collaboration with a diversity of parishes, seminaries, dioceses, and independent institutions.
TLC events gather and serve church leaders and teachers, ordained and lay, for intimate gatherings (80-120 attendees) centered on hospitality, theological and personal renewal, world-class teaching, energizing conversation, and friendship.

Podcast
Launched in 2020, The Living Church Podcast explores topics in theology, the arts, ethics, pastoral care, and spiritual growth — all to equip and encourage leaders in the Episcopal Church, Anglican Communion, and beyond. One of the more informal voices of TLC, the podcast is both thoughtful and fun.
Guests include theologians, pastors, scholars, artists, activists, and leaders around the Church.

Partner Program
Nearly a fifth of our annual income comes from dozens of faithful TLC Partners who give at multiple levels (Sponsor, Guarantor, and Associate). All of our Partners are thanked in the back pages of our magazine, provided free subscriptions, and receive an opportunity to appear in our annual Partner Spotlight Issue.

You may also contact the Rev. Dr. Matthew Olver, executive director and publisher (matthew.olver@livingchurch.org), to inquire about becoming a Living Church Partner.
Student Essay Contest
Each year, we seek to lift up fresh voices in pastoral scholarship through our annual Student Essays in Christian Wisdom competition.
First-place essays, which win publication in our fall Education issue, come from theology students enrolled at Anglican and Episcopal institutions, evince the joy of the Christian faith and a mastery of a classic discipline of theology, and demonstrate, not only academic excellence, but practicable wisdom, and a love of the communion of the Church in Jesus Christ, the Wisdom of God.
Calls for submissions typically run spring through summer.
